Former Macy’s CEO joins board

A former CEO and board chairman of department store giant Macy’s, Terry Lundgren, has been named to the board of the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation.

The foundation is the philanthropic partner of the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. The organization, with $130.8 million in assets in its most recent fiscal year according to public tax filings, supports and enhances SMH’s patient care, facilities and technology, clinical education and medical research.

Lundgren was chairman and CEO of Macy’s Inc. for 14 years before retiring as executive chairman in January 2018. He also served as president of the company and its chief merchandising officer.
